How to use the eAIP

Navigate the eAIP by using the table of contents in the left frame. Click the section titles to move to the selected section and reveal its subsections. The plus “+” symbol in front of a section name indicates that you can expand this section further by clicking on it. The hyphen “-” symbol means the section is already expanded; you can click the "-" to collapse it again.

Menu

At the top of the left frame, the following buttons are available:

• PDF
  This shows or downloads the PDF version of the eAIP-section displayed in the right frame.Always print the PDF page, as HTML pages are not optimised for printing. HTML printouts will lack important information. PDF is designed specifically for printing.
• Help
  Displays this page.
• About
  Links to Eurocontrol’s AIP site.

AIP

The ‘AIP’ tab contains the table of contents of the full AIP published under the mentioned effective date within the present eAIP package. Effective date mention is also the effective date of eAIP package.

• Click on “+” or “-“ sign to show or hide a sub-level of section title.
• Click on a title to navigate to the relevant section of the eAIP package.

AMDT

The concept of page replacement is not applicable to eAIP where as in the paper version. Therefore, ‘AMDT’ tab contains the links towards to every change to the current AIP. If the current eAIP doesn’t contain a regular amendment then the list of change is empty.

AMDT Tab Features

• Click on the triangular arrow next to a section to see the corresponding change highlighted in the right hand side of the frame where it occurred.



• To see the changes on the page, check the box in the top right corner of the right frame to make changes visible/invisible.



• Inserted text has a light pink background. Deleted text has a dark pink background and it is striked through

SUPs

All current supplements have been listed under this tab. Click on the AIP supplement number to view the document. Use the pdf button on the top left corner of the frame to print the supplement.

AICs

All current AICs have been listed under this tab. This tab will be empty if no such AIC being published.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between HTML and PDF?

HTML view is optimised to be viewed on screen. Printing of HTML version is not recommended. PDF option is specifically available for printing and ensures that the printed pages correlate fully with the paper AIP format. It is possible to indicate in the printing menu of Acrobat Reader which pages must be printed.

I see strange characters.

Select the right encoding in the browser:

• In Firefox:
  View > Character Encoding > Unicode (UTF-8)
• In Internet Explorer:
  View > Encoding > Unicode (UTF-8)

How do the notes in ENR 3 work?

In the en-route tables of ENR 3 you can view the notes by pointing your cursor at a note link.
