GEN 4 Charges for Aerodromes/Heliports and Air Navigation Services

GEN 4.1 AERODROME/HELIPORT CHARGES

1 Landing of aircraft

The charges set out hereunder are common for all internationalQCAA administered aerodromes in the State of Qatar. Charges for services and facilities not mentioned (e.g. for the carriage of baggage between aircraft and terminal building) may vary from aerodrome to aerodrome and information concerning such charges may be obtained at the aerodromes.

Unless alternative arrangements have been made, all charges for the use of the aerodrome are payable by the pilot of the aircraft on demand or before the aircraft departs from the aerodrome.

1.1 Landing charges

Landing charges are calculated based upon the Maximum Take-off Weight (MTOW) of the aircraft, authorized by the State of Registration in its certificate of airworthiness. In the event of the absence of the certificate of airworthiness, the landing charges will be based upon the MTOW of the aircraft manufacturer or as deemed appropriate by the QCAA (for Doha International Airport) or the Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management (for Hamad International Airport)..

2 Parking, hangarage and long-term storage of aircraft

2.1 Parking of aircraft

The parking charge will be ten percent (10%) of the landing charge.

Parking charges will begin to accrue two (2) hours after the aircraft has landed and will be charged for each twenty four (24) hours or part thereof.

7 Exemptions and reductions

7.1 Exemptions

The following aircraft will be exempt from landing and parking charges:

  1. State aircraft.
  2. Aircraft of United Nations (UN) body and its specialized agencies.
  3. All military aircraft of GCC States.
  4. Aircraft engaged on search and rescue operations.
  5. Bona fide test flights or calibration flights, approved by QCAA.
7.2 Reductions

Fifty percent (50%) reduction to standard charges will be granted for aircraft taking off from Hamad International or Doha International airports and returning due technical reasons or weather conditions.

8.1 Payment of landing and parking charges
  1. Payment of landing charges and parking charges will be accepted in Qatari Riyals (QR), OmaniGCC Rials (OMR), Kuwaiti Dinars (KWD), currencies, Sterling Pound (GBP), , US Dollars or in EURO.
